Platanias is located about 10 km west of Chania. You can find several resorts near the village, and it is not easy to point which one is the greatest. Well, Agia Marina probably wins it the gentle sands and the crystal clear water. And the view, of course. The sight is overwhelming, but don’t head on swimming to the protected island of St. Theodori which endangered Cretan wild goats (ibex).
