A massive church of carved granite in Gothic style, officially consecrated in 1901. All red brick with imposing arches, the Evangelical Church of Plovdiv now claims to be the biggest of its kind on the Balkans. When you enter its tiny, shaded yard, there is usually someone to welcome you, to show you round the church and recollect stories from the past.
