Formerly the
Biuro Wystaw Artystycznych (ENG: Art Exhibition Office), the
City Gallery is a municipality-owned contemporary art gallery showcases mixed-media art from home and abroad. First established in 1949, it's current home was built in 1970 and offers two floors of extensive exhibition space. The likes of
Dali, Picasso and Warhol have all passed through here as well as notable Poles -
Abakanowicz, Bereś, Kantor, Nowosielski, Rosenstein. For more on current exhibitions, make sure you check their
