This subterranean bar will be appreciated by Doctor Who fans. What appears to be a street level hut is just the entrance to a vaulted cellar with a well-stocked bar, a decent bar menu, televisions always ready for whatever sport you might want to watch and one of the friendliest, if toughest looking, landlords in the city. Stop by once and he’ll never forget your face or your order. Not at all touristy despite the A1 and a bit location, it’s one of those bars worth a stop on a crawl around town.
