Once you’ve arrived, especially if you’ve chosen to try the home-cooking rather than bringing your own picnic, you should plan to take advantage both of the coffee house and the restaurant. The coffee house and its courtyard seating provide a superb view of the river and surroundings. They offer a few snacks and desserts, but more importantly claim that all the beverages they serve there (apart from Coca-Cola) are home-made. So, grab a cup of your preferred brew and pull up a chair. The view is significantly better (and farther out) on sunny and clear days.
