While many restaurants in Poznań serve traditional Wielkopolska roasted duck (with apples and dumplings) and pyry z gzikiem (potatoes with cottage cheese), Hyćka is the best spot to delve deeper into regional cuisine, with a menu that includes czernina (broth with duck blood), szare kluchy (grey dumplings made with shredded potatoes), zraz wołowy (beef roulades), and lemonade with their namesake hyćka - an elderflower cordial. All the ingredients are local, and though not every dish might be to your taste, they stick strictly to tradition. With lackluster decor, many would argue that there are better dining experiences in Śródka, but this is inarguably the place if you're after Poznański cuisine at its most authentic.
