Leśnica Castle

Leśnica Castle is believed to have been first built in 1132 as a Piast defensive stronghold. It has since been destroyed and rebuilt numerous times, and its current Baroque form dates from 1740, when it was owned by the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star. After a fire in 1953, it was restored and repurposed as a cultural center. It currently houses the "Zamek" Cultural Center of Wrocław. The castle grounds are now enjoyed as a parkland, and the venue hosts numerous events throughout the year.
