Yes, this is a McDonald’s and yes, this is the Sightseeing section. The branch of Maccy D’s on Praça da Liberdade might just be the world’s most elegant, and boy is it a little jarring to type those words. This was once the Cafe Imperial and much of the old grace has been retained, giving visitors the opportunity to eat 20 nuggets in absolutely gorgeous surroundings. It is a bucket list item, for sure.
