Riga

Kennedy House

Ausekļa 22     more than a year ago
According to the plaque on the house, J.F. Kennedy, the future president of the USA stayed in this former embassy building in 1939 during his student summer holidays journey to Riga. Unlike many Latvians, he presumably made it out before the fun started in Europe. Of the locals he is said to have commented: 'Latvians will always reach upwards.'
