Space Falafel

Despite its cosmic name, this cosy, yet stylish half basement in one of Riga’s swankiest neighbourhoods is actually a down-to-earth restaurant specialising in Israeli cuisine as well as Middle Eastern street food. Business was good at lunchtime, so we took a seat among others at the long counter bar, which is reminiscent of those you might see at a classic American diner. We started with a brisket sandwich and an order of falafel before sticking into a hearty shakshuka (tomato, egg and sausage fry up). Other breakfast food is available as well as tasty main courses, not to mention beer, wine and alcohol. What else is left to say, except perhaps L’chaim!
