It's really great and if you come from Finland Tallink Silja has these offers (or at least had last summer) ferry to Tallin+bus to Riga+nights at this hotel that are quite cheap. The outlook of the hotel was great no complaints. Even the smoking area downstairs is cool doesn's leave smoke hanging around in the space meaning it's well air conditioned and there's cool photos of smoke on the walls.. Overslept the breakfast both days so don't know about it.We walked a lot in Riga and if you're fit you can walk everywhere from here the old town Stockmann area.. It's not in the middle of anything really but it's close by so it's "walkable" but needs some effort. We only took a taxi to the bus station during our three-day stay. There is an infamous nightclub on the street at the corner of which this hotel is though! At Elizabetes iela that is. It was "Angel's" something we were warned not to go changes name often. But on the street outside there was nothing. Another bar on the street was pretty bad as well visited one.Note! At least if you're Finnish everybody in this town seems to think that you're from Russia and they're not fond of Russians! Because both the history AND today. Tell you're from Finland and you get better reactions though the service is pretty bad everywhere. They were decent at the hotel though.
