The stark space of a modern building has been given the antique treatment by Rocket Bean’s second endeavour in the city centre. The concrete ceiling is now adorned with retro light bulbs hanging from driftwood and an old door, the tables and bar are also made of aged wood and one wall has even been made to look like the side of a Latvian barn. Not unlike its flagship hipster haven on Miera iela, it’s all about the coffee here and even the pickiest of Java snobs will find both the Ethiopian beans and the trendy brewing methods more than adequate. A tiny daily menu (11:00 - 18:00) is also prepared by its creative chefs in case you’re looking for something more substantial than honey cakes, chocolate mousse and fudge. Naturally, beer and wine can also be ordered.
