Nobody comes to Brasov to shop (and if they did they would need their heads testing) but that does not mean that the city is entirely absent of retail opportunities. There are plenty of quirky little gift shops and the like around Piata Sfatului, and on Republicii and Muresenilor. Look out too for sports shops (there is a good one on Strada Muresenilor): in high summer you can often pick up last year's ski gear at bargain prices.
