Bizarre both in design and in location – some way from the city centre, at the entrance to Tineretului Park, in front of Palatul Copiilor (the Children’s Palace) – stands, complete with an honour guard of two soldiers, this memorial to all those soldiers who have died fighting for Romania, unveiled in 2010.
