Caraorman Forest has been a protected area since 2000. The forest grows on sand dunes and there are trees such as English oaks, poplars, narrow-leafed ash trees and lianas. You can see also a lot of animal species such as white-tailed eagles, owls, falcons, wildcats, boars and wolves.
