Contemporary Art Gallery

In a building far older (1901) than any of the exhibits on display, you will find a good selection of home grown contemporary art. The gallery was set up in order to promote primarily Romanian artists, and makes good use of the space available in order to do so. What some of the art lacks in charm it makes up for in attitude, and we should admit that we found the experience of visiting this innovative place highly enjoyable. The atmosphere is friendly and far removed from the elitism that infects so many other galleries of its ilk. Given that the exhibitions change regularly, it’s the kind of place you might visit more than once.
