Built in the 19th century and located near the marvellous Trevi Fountain, Galleria Sciarra was meant to be a shopping centre. But, it doesn’t function in its original role. Its interior is decorated in liberty-style frescoes. The spectacular, colourful frescoes that surround the interior courtyard are a feast for the eyes. The iron and glass ceiling allows sunlight to spill into the courtyard and illuminate the details in the frescoes. Although this place isn’t the centre of attraction in Rome, it is absolutely amazing and deserves more attention.
