Cafe Club Zavtrak

A popular location for Vasilievsky's hip young things to meet over coffee or brunch, Zavtrak is cool and minimalist. Chalkboard walls and lockers on one wall give the cafe a slightly American-high-school vibe. There are lots of books and magazines scattered around for those that want practice reading Russian. The menu is unpretentious and reasonable, ranging from 99-250Rbl. for omelettes, toasties, soup and cakes. Geared far more to Russians than foreigners, Zavtrak is a good place to slip out of tourist mode and into the local scene. Be ready to use your Russian – the staff don't speak much English!
