Stairs from the street above descend into this atmospheric restaurant, located at basement level. High vaulted brick arches spilt the restaurant up, giving it a warmth and intimacy despite its relatively large size. Low lighting and a laid-back playlist create a relaxed ambience. As one might expect from its slogan 'We Love Meat', the menu is predominately meat-based – think steaks and charcutierie. There are some salad options for the less carnivorous, however. The wine list is also good, with some excellent Italian wines that go beyond the usual fare.
