Mesto

Stepping into Mesto (translated from Russian as “the place”), is like teleporting to an old Victorian manor with a mystical atmosphere thanks to the dark wallpaper with radiant flowers, huge handle holders stretching up from the floor, designer chandeliers and thick curtains. The food menu consists of traditional European dishes but with an unusual combination of ingredients and abundant Asian elements. The lobster bisque with crab ravioli, Burgundy pie with snail and the scallop carpaccio are especially worth trying. An extensive wine menu means there’s something for every taste and budget here and a pianist livens up the evenings on Fridays and Sundays. But be warned: this is not a place for business meetings (as per the sign on the front door) so if you come here, make sure to socialize and enjoy the food and wine.
