From veteran Petersburg restaurateur Igor Meltzer comes new Russian-style tapas bar and restaurant, Petrov-Vodkin. Walls splashed with the colors of reproduction paintings by the restaurant’s namesake artist form the backdrop to a dining experience delivered by the mastermind behind La Perla, Chef Stanislav Potemkin. Think herring with mustard and egg on rye, and horseradish with cucumber and boiled ham as tapas; Kuril sea scallops, rock oysters and crab from Kamchatka as part of the seafood spread; and traditional aspic, Olivier salad, dumplings, stroganoff and borsch with bacon off the menu a la carte.
