Novgorod is a small town and is easy to navigate on foot. It is also well served by a network of buses which cost 27Rbl a ride (the conductor will come round and sell you the ticket on the bus). In addition you can hire bikes from the Red Izba tourist information center on Sennaya pl. which will further reduce your journey times within the city. Novgorodians themselves often prefer to travel by taxi. Going almost anywhere in town by taxi should cost you around 100 - 150Rbl.
