San Sebastian

Isla de Santa Clara

San Sebastian, Spain     more than a year ago
Santa Clara Island, in the middle of the bay, is a bit of a secret, and few visitors actually step foot on it. It rises 50 metres out of the sea just across from La Concha Beach, helping to further insulate the beach and waterfront from the open ocean. The island is quiet, isolated, and empty, despite a small café and a white lighthouse. During summertime it’s easy to visit by boat so grab a sandwich and settle down for a picnic and a reverse view of San Sebastian.
