Saska Kępa Beach

A popular beach with both football and volleyball courts, beach chairs and more in the summer. But this spot is not summer-only. In fact, meander down here in February or March to find some great views of the center of the city, or peel off onto one of the paths that branches out from this beach for a nice long walk along the riverside. This is a lovely spot to explore, ride your bike and be amongst nature. When you're done, cross the road and meander through the charming little neighborhood of Saska Kępa for a bite, a drink and some good atmosphere.
From here, you can also jump on the Vistulan Tourist Ferry Service (available in the summer months) to easily cross the river. Otherwise, getting there from the centre, you can take trams 7, 9, 22 & 24 from stop Centrum and get off at stop Rondo Waszyngtona, and you can choose to walk through the charming Saska Kępa district, or switch to bus 138 and get off at stop Kryniczna. If you're coming from other directions, buses 138, 143, 151 and 183 will get you there.
