When the gentleman who founded your company with a single shop in 1975 is consistently ranked amongst the richest people in the world, then there's a very good chance you're doing something right. While the superlatives of founder Amancio Ortega's achievements are too many to list here, most people will be familiar with his now ubiquitous retail chain Zara (as well as other retail brands in the group, such as Pull and Bear, Bershka and Massimo Dutti), and the company's revolutionary business model that focusses on constantly updating collections and doing as much production as possible locally. You can find Zara on the main pedestrian street, Knez Mihailova, as well as in some shopping centres around Belgrade.
