The tradition of choral competitions in Niš was established 45 years ago and it continues to gather more and more national and international choirs every two years (in July). Since 2008 this event has been accompanied by the Orthodox Music Festival, under the patronage of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus Alexy II and the Serbian Patriarch.
