Severyanin

Severyanin Restaurant is aptly named. “Severyanin” comes from the word sever (North), referring to the rich, Northern Russian meat selections on the menu. The title also refers to the pen name of Igor Lotaryov, an early 20th century Futurist poet better known as Igor “Severyanin”. The literary reference is relevant to Severyanin’s location in the city’s centre, among the enbankments, canals and facades that have inspired so many beautiful words.
