St John's Church

more than a year ago
The village’s lovely catholic church from 1892 was used early on as a school for the village children, later on also as a health centre during communist times. After years of neglect, it was restored by Thethi’s diaspora in the 1990s and is now also nicely lit up after dark. With a backdrop of trees and high mountains, it’s a popular topic for photography. The simple interior is only open for services and special occasions.
