A network of buses and trams scurry across Bratislava, with the city divided into a number of zones. Zone 1 is likely to be the only one of interest to tourists. Tickets are purchased from the yellow machines at stops and must be marked immediately once on the vehicle, and don’t even think about getting on a bus without a ticket. You’ll receive short shrift if you do (and a fine).
