When compared to the old fashioned bluster of Bratislava’s central railway station, the equivalent in Košice is positively space-age. Arguably the best train station in the country, there is a supermarket along with other shops, as well as a cafe and a friendly information and ticket desk with, wait for it, clear lines. The toilets are also maintained, which cannot be celebrated enough. The station is in the centre of town, just a single kilometre east of St Elizabeth Cathedral.
