If you can manage the steep but enjoyable climb you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views from the top. It’s just 30 minutes from the centre of Kamnik, or a 10 minute drive. Either way, it’s definitely worth a visit and you’ll on top of the world. The castle is the oldest in the Upper Carnolia region and dates back to the 13th century. Beside the remains of the castle is the cafe terrace where you can enjoy light bites such as pizzas, burek and pastries, plus ice creams and a range of hot and cold beverages.
