When it comes to dining out, Ljubljana offers a little bit of everything, from regional Slovenian specialties and succulent Balkan grills to world class gourmet establishments and sophisticated business lunch venues to authentic world cuisine and mouthwatering pizza on par with anything you'll find in the country immediately to the west of here. In fact, one of the only things missing is Vietnamese food, which sadly is one of our long-time personal favourites - FYI, if you've never eaten Vietnamese phó soup you're missing out! But we digress, lest we lose focus.
Where were we? Ah yes, after receiving more than 10,000 votes in our inaugural Best Restaurant poll last year, we've reorganised some of the categories in an attempt to offer up the widest and more representative survey as possible for our 2014 edition. The full results will be published in the upcoming April/May issue of our guide.
