At first glance you might think it's just a chic showroom for the optometrist next door but actually it's Brodo, Ljubljana's trendiest sandwich shop. The minimalist aesthetics are matched by an equally sparse menu, with only five different sandwiches to chose from. However, each of them are small culinary works of art, with so much flavour packed between the brown, bagel-like bread that we have no qualms calling them the best sandwiches in town. Be warned that developing a Brodo addiction won't be easy on the wallet though, as they tip the scales at €4.5 each – a bit pricey by Slovene standards, but well-worth it in our book for the exceptional taste and quality.
