Velenje's old town may only consist of a few cobblestone streets, but at its western most end you'll find Hotel Razgoršek. Sitting quite literally in the shadow of the castle, the modern building was designed to evoke the late-19th century, and rooms are likewise furnished in an ornate faux Baroque style to complete the concept of accommodation fit for aristocrats. The restaurant is equally plush, and recommendable even for those visitors not staying at the hotel.
