Jointly, they bring the discerning Joburg man an offering to tempt your senses. All grooming needs are catered for – from facials, waxing, body services and massages, to the traditional barbering skills for which Bonafide are renowned throughout The Parks, and beyond.

The Bonafide story has been one we have watched over the years. It started as Monique Fleming’s desire to craft a balm for husband Joe’s bristles and has now evolved into a multi-product offering and full-service barber shop. Monique started the Bonafide brand in 2015, and decided to join the ranks of barbers in her shop after qualifying as a barber through Wahl South Africa in 2020. Today, Monique is one of a handful of women barbers shaping the fortunes of many a Joburg strand of hair.

The business of Hines & Harley was recently bought out by the trio of Mareli Gardner, Lisa Gardner and Nicole Blazevic (who also own Sherbet Angel Boutique Salon in Linden), making the union in Parktown North a dream team of all-woman resolve, and one that we think is set for even greater things to come.
