Kitchener's Bar and Little Kitchener's Pizzeria

A Braamfontein student favourite, Kitchener's is always jammed on weekends with cool young things having the time of their lives in what used to be a grand colonial hotel. Fortunately even the most serious hipsters can't turn this welcoming atmosphere into something more pretentious, making it a popular spot with locals of all stripes. By day it's a quiet pub and, since coming under the custodianship of the Play Braam team, a pizzeria has been added to the space – serving classics with a twist, like pepperoni with hot honey sauce, and simple salads. The bar serves wines, spritzers, speciality cocktails, and a selection of beers on tap. By night DJs spin everything from house and soul to timeless underground sounds.
