Situated on the Letamo Game Estate, a stone's throw from the Sterkfontein Caves, this country style restaurant has made it onto the “Top Restaurants in SA” list a few times. Roots offers a killer Saturday brunch, Sunday lunch and food and wine pairing. This is fine dining that won’t break the bank. You won’t get a city skyline view, but you will marvel at the sheer mass of land around you and you may even be lucky enough to spot some game from the comfort of your table. They only do set menus (five or six courses, wine pairings are optional), but can accommodate most dietary requirements and booking is essential.
