The 15th century Catholic tribunal had its headquarters in Seville’s Triana district, and it was here that all of those grisly executions were devised. The Castle of San Jorge was destroyed and turned into a food market once the Inquisition was over, a sort of Indian burial ground on steroids, but the remains of the castle were discovered in 1990 and a museum opened in its place.
