The soothing smell of a burning fireplace and smoked meat greets you as you walk through the big wooden doors of Pozharka tavern. Once inside you will find yourself inside a rustic, warm and cosy tavern with an upper and lower floor. The view from the upper level is gorgeous, allowing you to see the Kremlin. The restaurant has some tasty Russian dishes and dishes prepared on an open fire, but the true specialties come from the tavern’s very own smokehouse. An English menu is available for those who need it, but it hasn’t been updated in quite a while resulting in small price differences with the Russian menu. Make sure you check the correct prices on the Russian menu before ordering to avoid surprise after enjoying your meal.
