Surrounded by the mighty city walls in the centre of Pskov stands the Trinity Cathedral, also known as thePskov kremlin. The kremlin is the first stop for most tourists who visit the city, and is the main icon of Pskov. Situated on top of a hillside, the Trinity Cathedral is an impressive sight to behold, especially when you are standing in its courtyard. Aside from being the city’s main tourist attraction, the cathedral is also used as a regular church by the inhabitants of Pskov. The kremlin also has its own souvenir shop where you can buy such things as religious icons, wooden cutlery, or wooden spiked maces. To each his own!
