The restaurant's light, minimal interior lets you wind down after a long day, with large windows offering enchanting views of the Fontanka River and embankment. We recommend getting a selection of starters to share as the portions are generous. The lobio, a warm bean soup, is fantastic, and the satsivi – chicken breast poached in a creamy walnut sauce – is divine. For something a bit heavier, the warm, doughy khachapuri is smothered in melted cheese and the pork shashlik is mouth-wateringly good.

This was a wonderful place for a wonderful lunch! We ordered the spinach and nut pate a wonderful cheese dish unlike anythiing I have ever had before lobio khachapuri and shared a pork shashlik and were more than satisfied.... but still managed to share a pear for dessert. It's easy to find not pretentious simple and elegant. Definitely a find!
