When you read Georgian cuisine, you immediately think khachapuri, lobio and khorcho. The team at Kakha Bar decided to shake up this notion a little and infuse the dishes with modern elements. The result is a youthful wine bar that serves things like eggplant guacamole with nachos, bruschetta with tomato, straciatella and tkemali and fried suluguni cheese withfig marmalade and satsebeli. Apart from the lighter tapas designed to accompany the wine, there is also a decent selection of mains, salads, soups and desserts. Wines here are, for obvious reasons, mainly from Georgia and the signature cocktails such as “Evening in Batumi” are made with traditional Georgian spirits. It tends to fill up in the evenings so make sure to book or arrive early. Also at Bol. Konyushennaya ul. 2.
