Probably the most hidden of St. Petersburg’s hidden bars, Quinta doesn’t even tell guests the exact address until about two hours before their reservation – all guests know is that it’s somewhere in the area of Zhukovskogo Street. Quinta comes from the Portuguese word “quinta”, which is a country estate, in particular a wine-growing estate near the Douro River – home of the famed port wine. Knowing this bit of useful knowledge, it will come as no surprise to you that this fortified Portuguese wine is the star of the show here. There are about 50 sorts on offer now, along with some jerez, madera and a few signature cocktails. The cocktails contain no syrup, juices or even ice, so be prepared for strong tastes. In order to book your spot at this tiny, dark but atmospheric cocktail bar, flick them a message on Facebook to let them know your preferred time of arrival and the number of guests.
