Inspired by the infallible hospitality of a Norwegian queen, Rekon’s staff are especially attentive and have a good level of English. Inside is something akin to a homely hunting lodge with a good measure of animal skins and exposed wood. The back room is more like a traditional 19th century Victorian dining parlour with dark wooden cabinets, hanging tapestries and darkly stained furniture. It has tasty European cuisine, drinks and wines which you can also enjoy on their summer terrace. The staff are even ready with blankets for the cool evenings – very hospitable.
