Housed inside a gorgeous traditional house next to the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas in the centre of the city, this fine little museum features all the usual artefacts including plenty of carved stones from antiquity and a wealth of displays dedicated to the miscellaneous struggles for Macedonian independence a century or so ago. With no signs in English, getting somebody to take you around is highly recommended.
