Located on the island Marstrand, just above the small village, lays Carlstens Fortress. The fortress was built 300 years ago, to protect the village underneath. Noadays, there are guided tours of the fortress, and you can even spend a night here, just like many 18th century soldiers did, and witness their way of life.
