The pho... oh, the pho! This Vietnamese beef broth classic with loads of vegetables, herbs and noodles is a real treat at Co Chin Chin and thankfully it isn't overly salty, so you can taste all of its varied and subtle flavours. Some lime slices and Thai basil are also served on the side so you can add as much or little as you like. The scallops cooked au gratin that we ordered as a starter were delicate and the roasted peanuts on top gave it a little extra flavour and texture. The lemongrass ice tea was too sweet for our taste, but to each his own. In any event, the bistro part of this garage-style venue is for walk-in customers, so if you don't mind waiting a little at the bar there's a decent chance of getting a table. Then again, you could just make a reservation to experience quality Asian food without any stress.
