On the western shore of lake Zurich, the 'Water Lily' lakeside restaurant attracts a hip and wealthy clientele. If you don't have a private yacht handy, take bus N°161 from Bürkliplatz (approx. 15 minutes ride). The outdoor terrace is built out onto the lake and is very spectacular - but even if you're inside, huge windows make sure you have a great view. The kitchen is international: from French through Spanish to Asian. And there is plenty of fish of course. You can't go wrong if you take the house speciality, the tender tournedos de boeuf with sauce madagascar. You'll see, it was worth the extra travel. Nice place just for a cocktail too.
