Tarnow

Mina's Art-Gift Gallery

Sharing the space of the Nosh Kosher Cafe is this gallery and gift shop dedicated to Tarnów's Jewish heritage. Named in honour of Mina Nath - a self-taught Jewish artist from Tarnów, who survivied WWII in Russia-occupied Lwów and later a Siberian labour camp before escaping to Venezuela (read her incredible story online), the gallery invites visitors to buy or 'adopt' Ms. Nath's paintings, thus donating to the restoration of Tarnów's Jewish Cemetery. There are also paintings by other local Jewish artists for sale, as well as local gifts and souvenirs, including products by Mi Polin - a Warsaw-based company that makes contemporary Judaica.
