Tarnow

Enotourism

share
More than just a clever tourism industry catchphrase, Tarnów is known as the 'Polish hotspot' (Polski biegun ciepła) due to having the warmest average temperature in the country, the most sunny days, longest summers and least number of windy days. This is especially true of the Pogórze region just south of Tarnów, which possesses a microclimate ideal for the cultivation of grapes used for winemaking. Essentially the Polish Napa Valley, if you're an oenophile (or even know what that word means), head south from Tarnów to discover some scenic countryside and the best wines Poland has to offer.
